Stop guessing which
desk setup actually fits you
Ten questions, about sixty seconds. We score every product against your actual role, budget and workflow — then tell you which one to start with.
The problem with "best desk" lists
They rank products by popularity, not by fit. The product topping the chart is usually the one with the loudest affiliate programme — which is not the same as the one that solves your problem.
Popularity ≠ fit
A generalist brand tops almost every list because it sells everything adequately. If you only need one thing done well, an all-rounder is the expensive choice.
Budget blindness
Most lists ignore what you can actually afford. Plenty of the top recommendations cost more than the chair you are replacing.
Stale pricing
Prices in this category move constantly. A comparison written last year is quietly steering you toward the wrong subscription.
How it works
Three steps, no account required.
Answer ten questions
Your role, what you want to offload, output volume, how much context you work with, budget and the rest.
We build a profile
Your answers become a weighted score across three dimensions. Budget answers act as a hard filter, not a suggestion.
You get a ranked shortlist
A primary pick plus two runners-up, with match scores, honest limitations and current pricing for each.
What we measure
Every product is rated on the same three dimensions, so the comparison is actually like-for-like.
Standout picks by category

How we score
The method, in full
- Capability ratings. Each product gets a 0–100 rating in each of three dimensions, based on published specifications and category norms — not on benchmark marketing.
- Your profile. Each answer adds weighted points to one or more dimensions. Your role and main task carry the most weight; budget and team size refine rather than redirect.
- Match score. Each product's ratings are averaged against your profile. A product that is weak in the dimension you care most about will score badly, even if it is excellent elsewhere.
- Budget filter. A hard mismatch is penalised heavily. If you said you are shopping on a tight budget, a premium-tier desk will not reach your shortlist.
- Specialist bonus. When one dimension dominates your profile, products built specifically for it get a boost — so someone who needs stability sees desks, not accessories.
- No published prices. Amazon's Associates rules require prices to come from Amazon, so we show each product's price tier and send you to the listing for the live figure.
Commercial arrangements play no part in ranking. Some products pay us a commission if you subscribe; that never changes their score.
